The actress, Tamara Braun, who plays her used to be on GH and I used to watch Days years ago. What type of character is she playing? Is she supposed to be someone's long lost relative or is she a brand new character? I don't remember anyone named Ava when I used to watch it.

she is steve's (patch) ex-girlfriend, supposedly he was gonna marry her at one point, but since i dont watch too often, thats all i know. sorry

She is Steve's ex that he was with while he was being Patch (had memory loss and everyone thought he was dead). she is the daughter of Mr. Vitali the Crime Boss and kinda went crazy after Patch left her at the alter (he says he left her because even though he had no memory of his past life, he knew she was not the woman for him, naturally that means we are to think sappy Kayla is the one for him). Ava ended up being continually drugged to be kept in line after she "went crazy" and therefore blamed him for all her problems since he left her at the alter which is why she tracked him down, she wanted him back so her life would go back to normal and she would be happy again.
