ok well I already have 2 horses and I was thinking of getting another horse, This one is a 9-year old mare and in her profile it says shes a good riding horse, i thought this would be nice to have another horse, and one that ridable so when my friends who are not very good riders, could have an easy-going horse. and if I had 3 friends over, there wouldnt be 1 person sitting alone. The Mare's owner cant afford to keep her, i want to give the horse a nice home. But my mom says no, she says i should save for a car which i'll be driving in a year, she has a good point, but the horse is only 950$. Mom also says that you could buy other stuff with that money. Ok i guess my mom is kinda right but i still would like to have her. My dad says I could get another horse.Since im older. but my mom and dad arent really on the same page. Im also debating, taking on 1 more horse wouldnt be so bad, but then again, will i have time? I just dont know!! any help?

Tell her you will ride your new horse to town in stead of a new car. You will be green and really save on gas.

Well, I know what the situation will be in a year. Last year, a horse I previously leased went up for sale. And me and my mom LOVED this horse...so we bought him.Now a year later, I'm 16 and don't have a car. And when your parent's work all day every day and you board your horses, you want to drive. =] But if you keep your horse's at home, maybe it will be different for you. Think about it A LOT, and tell your parents to talk and come to a decision. If you are the only one who rides, would you be willing to work with, take care of, and clean up after (not just stalls, but the whole barn, mucking, etc.) 3 horses?And you also have to realize that this mare may not be as great as you think she is.Ask your parents to at least go look at her, and once they've seen her they can make their decision.

She is $950 to purchase her now but what about the vet fees and her upkeep fees? While you want to give her a good home is nice you have to think about the future also. You may want to go away to college then what will you do with the horses? If you don't think you will have the time for another horse I wouldn't get her, it wouldn't be fair to you or to the horse. How much time would you have to spend with friends which is important? In this case I agree with your mom sorry.
