I have an Olympus FE-180 Digital Camera When I Connect It To The Computer It's Supposed To Ask Me If It's A PC Or Print Connection But The Problem Is IT Doesn't Bring Up That Menu I Doubted It Might Be My Computer Doesn't Provide Enough Power So I Tried At Another Computer And It Also Didn't Work So I Wanted To Know If The Problem Was in My Cable Or The Camera Itself So I Tried Using The TV Output Cable And It Worked On The TV So Is The Problem In The USB Cable Itself?I Have A Card Reader But The Problem Is My Camera's Card Is XD And My Card Reader Doesn't Support itWell I Am Currently Running Windows XP And Connecting It Directly Through The Motherboard's USB Slot

It could be the connection port where the USB cable connects to the camera ... this is the weak point in all image transfers ... that is only one of the reasons why photographers who shoot over 30,000 images a year use card readers. You can buy card readers for under $10

To properly diagnose this problem you need to provide the type of Computer you are using and the Operating System. If you are connecting through a USB Hub it may give unpredictable results. Add more information to your question and I will check back and add to my answer if I have anything else that can help...If you are sure that your reader will not accept an xD card I would consider spending $10-$20 for one that does, but check your reader carefully, many readers accept xD cards in a larger "shared" slot and may only have a tiny label to identify the place to put the xD card. And some do not identify it at all except in the documentation. (I have three readers for different computers in the family. One uses an unlabeled section in the SM slot, there is a cutout with another set of connectors on the top left hand side of the slot and you slide the xD card in there with the gold connectors facing UP instead of DOWN!)Hope that helps. Email if you have specific questions.
