For a second I just want you to forget I'm a Pats fan and try and view this from an un-bias opinion. I'm just gonna throw this one out there...Eric Mangini outed the Pats after his week 1 meeting with them of the 2007 season. Some may not know this but Mangini was Belichick's right hand man in New England up until 2006 when he took the coaching job in New York. Why is it that he is viewed as such a victim and not another cheater? Given his position on NE's coaching staff he knew what was going on and went along with it. Not to mention the fact that he benefited from it during their 3 in 4 years Super Bowl run, not to mention holds his job today because of his success in New England. So my question is, at what point is the finger pointed at him as a suspect... and why didn't he say anything before he was beaten by them for the 3rd time in 4 meetings?Just to make it clear I'm NOT defending the Pats as not even as a fan do I condone what they did. This is just my opinion.Trust in #25: Did you not read the last thing I said? I'm not trying to spread it out on other teams, I'm not saying they cheated, I'm just saying he had to do with it in NE.DARKNIGHT: You need to just sit down and shut the f*ck up punk. Why don't you read the entire question before spouting off in the immature fashion that you so choose. I'm a kid? You look like you're 15 years old in that little picture of yours. Get off mommy and daddy's computer and learn how to read... b*tch.

I'm a die-hard Jets fan, but I have to admit that Eric Mangini has had something to do with this spy gate thing. I mean he's the one that ratted out the Pats, he must have known or did something. Mangini is as guilty as anyone on the Pat's coaching/filming team, and should be faced with the same consequences.

I'd consider him innocent, only because he does not have the smarts to use what information was collected...he waited because, like most dummies he thinks time equates to distance..

Eric Mangini is as guilty as Belichick ands the rest of the Patriots and their coaches for being CHEATERS , Mangini might not do it anymore , but everyone knows he did it when he was with the Patriots , cause lets face it , that's whats the Patriots teach , so that's what he learned and then i read Belichick called Walsh a liar , i mean who is Belichick to call anyone a liar , everything that comes out of his mouth is a LIE, everyone says he is a genius , well if he was so smart why did me "misinterpret the rule" I'll tell you why , cause he didn't , that's just what he is saying , he knowing broke the rule and flat out lied about it , Belichick needs to grow some balls and admit that he broke the rules and apologize to the NFL and all the NFL fans and the teams they taped for disrespecting the game of football, and stop paying off Goodell

mangini is just as guilty.. if he wasnt getting his butt kicked everytime then he wouldnt have outted the pats.. he just got fed up with being beat and the strained relationship with belichik and decided to try and bring down the entire pats organization.. i personally dont care.. i mean the pats never went unbeaten an entire year.. they lost some of the games that matt walsh turned in the tapes too.. and everything is televised anyways.. if they wanted too im sure they could of gotten a tape from a broadcaster.. mangini is guilty but there is nothing you can really do.. who cares hes coachin a crappy team.. he has no legacy to be remembered by.. he hasnt won anything. the only thing to remember him as is a cheater and a SNITCH.

That's the thing about Spygate. If you really let it branch out and think that anyone who came near it is now cursed, or whatever, it goes really far.Do we investigate the Browns, and coach Romeo Crennel?Do we call the Jets cheaters?Do we look into Notre Dame's season because of Charlie Weis?Do we fine the Falcons for hiring the Patriots' scouting director? This is why Goodell brought his foot down on this Hydra-like scandal and crushed all its heads back in week 1. He punished the Pats swiftly, heavily, and totally. And he meant that; totally. It was done. But the story was too good for the press to let die. There's people who will run with any conspiracy theory; my guess is that you take reporters, who are trained to believe there's more to the story anyway, and then add to their natural curiosity by stonewalling them about information regarding the tapes as Goodell and Belichick did, and then destroy the tapes without ever letting the public (and more importantly the journalists) see them... now you've got a group of people with direct influence on the public thinking that you're hiding something. Pretty much all the media around week 1 was wondering how far this thing went, and not receiving further information clearly irked them. That's basically why this was allowed to fester and grow; the league did its best to stomp it out, but the press couldn't let it die. That's why, even if he did have something to do with it, I won't have one negative thing to say about Mangini or any other former Pats coaches or players (at least as far as this issue goes). Once we let it seriously affect one, we'll need to track down them all. Its time to let the truth sink in, and admit that this was a very small affair that was blown completely out of proportion.

If Pats fans really believe they are innocent, they wouldn't spend all their time on here trying to defend their actions!
