I do not need a gaming rig, I just want somethign that can handle CS3 master collection, and maybe some small programming stuff (I dabble with Visual Studio at times).The bulk of my work is with DreamWeaver, PhotoShop and more recently a lot more Video editing....I would ideally like a Mac Pro with the 8 cores, but I can not justify spending over 3K right now... Any suggestions..Ok I don't really care about a monitor... I want to know if anyone uses a computer for somethign similar what their rig is and how they liek it. I was looking at quad core AMD Phenom... but I really don't know... I had Vista and HATED it, it looked pretty, and had a few security enhancements, but over all it was just not compatible with a lot of my programs. I guess I should ask what processor. MOBO, etc people suggest for this application (again I don't do gaming, just graphics and web stuff withs ome video editing)

I have a mac pro, and I just got my daughter a imac.... i am very impressed with the imac and it only cost $1100. I spend about 4k on mine 3 or 4 years ago, still love it and have had only to buy more ram. I would go with a imac and a little extra memory, you will not be disappointed with imovie, idvd, all the extras that come with it

Basically, anything with a fast processor, large hard-drive, and lots of memory...With Video editing i recommend at least dual-core or above.

Any PC with Windows Vista Business. Vista runs the CS3 suite very well and smoothly. Lots of good video editing software is also available for PC.It will also save you lots of money, you can get a much better system for a much smaller price.

hi radiant, just one idea and i don't know if you will like it or not but with what you are wanting to do you need a powerful machine and so i recommend dell not only because they were rated number one by the consumer report for their tech support. but what you have in mind will use a lot of power and they rate number one when it comes to the 8800gts ultra. now lets see what does this mean? only your display adapter is more powerful than anything that is on the market and it can handle the power that you need. no i do not work for dell so allow me to give you a bad side to dell and that is that when you order from dell no going out and buying from anyone but dell the parts cannot be bought anywhere else but from dell the wires do not fit but they make a darn good machine recommend them highly. good luck hope i was helpful to you
